Known as The Nature Gallery these past 25 years, in moving forward I still will be known as The Nature Galley but also as Nature Gallery Photography. So if I may, just a brief intro and bio.
Got my first camera in the 4th grade. Didn't want one, knew almost nothing about cameras. My older brother got one and I'm sure my mom reminded my dad he had a second albeit younger son (me) also. However, one of those rare Life moments where I discovered something about myself in exploring the world around me with that camera. Cheap as it was (110 Kodak Instamatic) and limited in what it could do. Discovering I could express a vision of how I saw the world through a camera. Who knew! When I left home destined for Colorado at 20 years of age, my first major purchase was a Canon TLb 35-mm film camera, small telephoto lens, extension tubes for closeup photography and a rock-steady tripod. Began exploring the prairies, Rocky Mountains and always -- something within me. Graduated to medium & large format film cameras, eventually adding in a higher resolution digital camera for macrophotography (aka: closeup photography). Still am exploring and learning. Assuredly will going forward! So much still to discover, around and within me. Because photography is about how I SEE -- not the tools of cameras, lenses, megapixels. For better or worse, self-taught. One course on black-and-white printing. That's it! Did darkroom print for years.
